Reid Hospital & Health Care Services, a not-for-profit 233-bed regional referral medical center, serves east central Indiana and west central Ohio. Reid's service area is home to about 280,000 people in five Indiana and two Ohio counties.
The largest employer in Richmond, Reid deploys 1,800 employees in its mission and is also sustained by 500 volunteers. The hospital campus, about 100 acres, is easily accessed from U.S. 27, less than half a mile from I-70.

The mission is also supported by the Reid Foundation, which contributed $50 million to begin work on the New Reid. When the new, $330-million hospital opened in 2008, the Foundation had earmarked and distributed another $6 million for gardens, landscaping and interior art to support a healing environment.
Reid is guided by a mission of treating patients in body, mind and spirit and its team is committed to principles that ensure that care. Reid’s services contribute to the physical, psychological, social, emotional and spiritual well-being of all its patients.
